You’ll find general questions about your session answered here…
Studio vs. natural light? I offer studio type sessions for newborns only. Older children prefer to be in a more natural environment where they can run, play and be themselves. I love to follow toddlers around and view life from their perspective. You’ll often find me rolling, crawling and playing right at their level as I take pictures.
Where should we go? Locations play a big role in providing the backdrops to your images. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful metro parks with amazing scenery all year round. If you’re looking for urban or industrial type settings we can take a walk downtown, visit some local shops and take in the city as we document our time together.
What do I wear? Clothing can very easily make or break even the best portraits. A few of the stores I suggest for ideas are, GAP, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Target, Children’s Place, Forever 21, etc. Layers, textures, patterns, hats, accessories are some of the things to consider when planning your outfits.
What NOT to wear… Stay away from white shirts, logos and characters. You’ll thank me later.
What happens before we book a session? Before we decide to work together, I will spend some time over the phone or via email asking you some questions, going over my policies, and sharing details of what to expect during our time together. Half of your session fee is due before I book your session date, the other half will be due at your session.
